How Much Wood Can A Woodchuck Chuck?

Woke up this morning and ran to Dynamis Windurst. Well, I didn't really run there as I was already there from the night before..... Anyways, didn't get any drops but it's still fun ^^. I brought 3 stacks of echo drops to be safe and now I have enough echo drops for a few exp parties.

Talking about exp parties, I need to buffer my exp. I do not think it will be fun to keep falling to 74 every dynamis. Currently considering if I should go for it and get 44k exp as buffer. Kinda excited to start getting merits. I've pretty much decided to merit Convert first. That's the most useful RDM only merit I can think of.

Been trying to convince myself to log conscientiously. It gets on my nerves sometimes. For some reason, when I find a lot of logging points, I will get aggro. When I do not get aggro. I can run round and round and round and do not find a single logging point. It is exasperating. Well, at least last run I got something out of it ^^

And then after that... absolutely no logging points at all. Urgh. Must remember to work on WW. I can't do anything with that log now anyways.

New Schedule

I've gotten off to a new schedule as opposed to the previous 2 weeks.

Previously I could prance around Vanadiel everyday and/or just stand somewhere for hours without doing anything. That is a tiny problem now as we get back into real world issues of working to finance the experience.

Anyways, I won't be around on Vanadiel much these couple of weeks. I'll try to feed my chocobo regularly. I think I will have to miss the next Dynamis (Buburimu) run. Kinda feel bad about it as it is only the second run that I would have had with the shell, but I simply can't make it. I'll try to prevent this from happening too much but sometimes things do get a little out of control.

Anyways, one of the things that has been on my mind was :"What job to level next?"

First up let's analyse the situation here. I do not level very much. In the 2 years and 3 months that I have been playing, I have only accumulated approximately 250 levels across all jobs. Others already have multiple 75s and Ihave only managed to get my first job to 75.

Next, since I have been playing a mage job (Actually, a bunch of mage jobs), it sounds kinda tempting to go melee. I'm not huge on that idea though. next, I have the intentions of leveling SMN, BRD, COR and perhaps BLM.

For SMN, I am still short of Leviathan (I know, I'm gimpy) Fenrir and Daibolos. I would like to at least get Leviathan before I level it again. Hopefully I can get Fenrir. As for BRD, I'm not too sure that I can just hop into another buff/debuff job at this moment. I need a little break. COR - look at BRD. BLM... I'm not too sure. I think I will want to take BLM to 75, but I somehow just don't feel like starting it now.

Looking at all the above, I think BLM is the most obvious choice atm. My personal preference would be SMN though, so I need to get the Avatars done.

EngelFeuer Retired

Another thing I want to talk about is..... retiring EngelFeuer

My very first chocobo is EngelFeuer. He never was very good in any stats, in fact his best stats were "A Bit Deficient" in Discernment and Receptivity. I still like him very much despite all these. I was loathe to retire him, but I wanted a new chocobo and his stats were simply not going to change anymore. He was 104 days old when I retired him on the 5th of December 2006. ; ;

The first time I tried to retire him, I just cancelled the event. Finally, I decided that I had to retire him. The CS was sooooo sad!! /cry . Makes me sad even now (yes I'm a idiot when it comes to CSes) I wonder if they have the CS for reviewing at the Minstrel of Memories... Kinda sad that I didn't even get a screenshot of the CS but here's a screenshot of what Hantileon said when I retired my chocobo.



Well, the consolation is, I can still call EngelFeuer out and now I have a new chocobo. She's called EngelStern!

Altheya's very own blog!

Yep, I had been thinking of creating a blog for FFXI for some time. I just never really goty around to it cos what I do on FFXI is quite... boring actually.

Then I decided that maybe I shall make a blog when I hit 75. It looked to be still a long way off. Then one day I retired my chocobo.. and I really wanted that on a blog, so I said, maybe I will make one by the 1st of January 2007.

So now that you are reading this blog, it is obvious that I have created this blog. DUH.

And.

I have hit 75 on Red Mage at last! Red Mage 75 as of 0100ish hrs on 31st December 2006!!

That's after nearly 2 years and 3 months of being a RDM. I started playing FFXI as a Red Mage back in late September 2004


I also attended my first ever Dynamis on this day! Yay!!

Here comes the little hitch. I was RDM in Dynamis. What do RDM's do in Dynamis?? A quote from my friend:


Yep. That was a conversation before the start of Dynamis. Indeed, I died 4 times in Dynamis and deleveled. Oh well. I'll need to go exp parties again to have an experience points buffer before going onto merits anyway.
