Freelancer Hunting

Been spending my days in Campaign. Seriously.

Last week I noticed that San d'Oria's freelancer population dropped drastically so I went out to try and improve the situation. Thought I'd get like 2 or 3 back in but I only got 1. Well, at least not a total loss of effort!

In other news, Cherron has been unhacked. He's back!

Also, since I do not have an immediate use for the Ancient Beastcoins, I'm selling them.

Being Blue

I have finally gone and opened up Blue Mage and Scholar.

So I thought I would work on Blue mage first. Blue mage is pretty easy to level the first 10 levels because the melee dmg is pretty good. HOWEVER, trying to get the spells updated along the way is a major pain. It's been almost 2 weeks and I'm only level 12. Granted, I have not been playing everyday, but with the kind of dmg output that the Blue Mage is capable of, I should have been quite a few levels along already.

First you have to make sure your blue magic skills are leveled as that will improve your chances of learning a mob ability, then you have to go out and find that mob. Pray that it will use the ability you want before you die of boredom AND pray some more that you will learn that ability.

I'm not totally caught up on my spells up to level 10 yet. I'm so tempted to leave some spells alone.

I can foresee leveling to 75 just by hunting for spells......

No time for Scholar at the moment...

Wow Wow, been some time since I lasted posted.

Well, in the period that I have been... gone, I've gotten a Loquacious Earring. That's a big deal to me even if it's nothing to you guys.

Currently on Brass Wings of Service in Campaign. I love WoTG!

I might open BLU and SCH. Hmm.

Latest Campaign situation this week, we're overrun by Beastmen! Apparently, it seems that most servers have similar results this week.

Ok... that's not very good. I thought Bastok would at least hold one of their territories, but the when the tally happened..... apparently they didn't have enough influence there either.

Well, this week is gonna be fun with beastmen invading Bastok and Windurst. If San d'Oria can't hold Battalia Down [S] or regain any territories.. we'd be next!

So Near Yet So Far

The Chapeau dropped off Berith at Xarca today.... there were 5 people lotting for it and in true Altheya style, I got a 297ish lot.

Well, no prizes for guessing that I did not get the Chapeau.

I seriously do not think that I would get it unless no one else wants it, which is impossible. Maybe the only way I can get it is off the Mog Bonanza ; ;

What a surprise as I logged onto POL today.

It was the announcement of the Mog Bonanza! It's like the FFXI equivalent of mega million sweepstakes!

For poor adventurers like me, this is of course a very enticing opportunity. How can I let this opportunity go to waste? And so, I shall take part in this event and hope I get at least a little lucky.

7 more coins to a Loquacious Earring!

After months of Limbus, I am finally nearing my goal of getting a Loquacious Earring. I can only attend Limbus once a week, so it's slower for me to get the required 75 coins for that earring.

My current weekly schedule is Dynamis and Limbus on Sunday, then an exp top up session if required.

I've also managed to collect both Limbus items required for upgrading 1 piece of RDM AF. I just need the coins now, but that will take another set of many months to complete just 1 piece of AF, provided that I want to upgrade my AF.

Of course, I could buy the coins off someone else if I wanted to be faster, but then again I don't really have that much spare gil. As it is, 30,000 gil a week for Limbus is draining on my pocketbook.

Also, a couple of weeks ago, during the daylight savings time changeover, I missed an Ultima. That wouldn't be so bad, except that I was up for the stuff it dropped. Cherron asked me to get down to the zone quick, but I didn't make it in time. So, till next time! I'm still pretty far along in the queue for most Nashira gear though. Attending only one Limbus a week doesn't help me that much >.<

Been thinking about soloing BLM maybe. When I managed to convince myself to get off me lazy bum. Perhaps if I ever get BLM to 75, I can solo a Limbus zone.....

MP Merits Capped!

Finally, after participating in a fair number of Campaigns, I have got my MP merits capped! Eight MP merits woohoo!

I know that's not a lot to the rest of you but it's quite the achievement for me, especially seeing as to how the last 3 and a half merits were gained through campaign in the past 2 months (Took me a year to get the 8 merits).

Gotten a little bit further on ToAU. Not a lot but just a tad. The CS with Prince Luzaf and the trolls was nice ^^. Prince Luzaf is way cool. Next up is Puppet in Peril. Aphmau is cute lol. I don't like her automatons though. Automatons are evil.
