This is it. Woke up early today to complete CoP 8-3. We managed to clear that and then it was decided that we would go on to do 8-4.

It was kinda surreal really.

I hadn't expected to be doing 8-4 today.

Almost.... disappointed to do the last fight so suddenly.

I think I shall not dwell too much on the story of 8-4 here, these are spoilers after all and belong in the spoiler section below! Suffice it to say that I love the story... The story actually made me feel like I'm useful! Yay!

We lost the first fight, but we managed to win in the second fight. It's like they all said, keep Prishe alive and you'll be rewarded. She Cure IV'ed me once too so it's definitely worth it to keep her fighting! She's also a rich little girl, she uses Ambrosia!

I wish I could afford to fight like her!

I have yet to complete the CSes to officially complete the Chains of Promathia story. I have also yet to decide on which ring I wish to acquire. Maybe I should just get the Tamas ring since I am mage main...... hmm.

We had to make it to the top of the respective towers for each race that our party had. We only had Elvaans and Humes in our party so we only needed to climb two towers.

Once we had that part completed, we had to climb up to the top of the Gardens of Ru'Hmet and fight 4 Ix'zdei in order to gain access to the Luminous Convergence.


Upon entry.... What's going on??! Why's Tenzen on a rampage? Has he gone nuts?



Tenzen was stopping everyone who was blinded by Promathia's temptation! So that's why everyone was so eager to get here. I didn't hear any voices promising anything but Promathia promised everyone something that is very important to them.... a promise of a better future that everyone wants in their own way.


Chebukki's longing for family (most preferably influential!)


Ulmia's wish to perform the Lay of the Immortals to affirm her abilities.


Louverance's vision of grandeur


Shikaree Z's hope for a perfect world with no crimes


Jabbos' need to protect.


Tenzen's promise of righteousness.


Prishe's end to an immortal life.

Selh'teus appears and joins us as we proceed to where Promathia is sealed. Nag'molada is already there. Looking at the way things are going... could he be... the Keeper of the Apocalypse?


Tenzen has accompanied us thus far and is unable to accompany us any further as he is struggling to keep the voice of Promathia at bay.



Nag'molada is intent on seeking out the truth. The truth to creation and to lead all imperfect beings to a state of perfection. He is willing to sacrifice all he has to find out this truth and so he bonds with Promathia in exchange for the truth that he so craves. In order to do that, he needs to free Promathia from Lady Yve'noile's seal!





What is this truth...?
Can we handle this truth? Nag'molada doesn't seem to be able to accept the truth that he has obtained at great sacrifice.








Prishe comes to a conclusion... could Promathia's children...... be..... not be the beastmen but whom we have always thought to be the Children of Altana...... US?


Regardless, Promathia has now been resurrected and the apocalypse is at hand! We must do something about this awful situation. Looks like we have no choice but to go head to head with Promathia!

We rush to the lowest level of the palace and enter the Empyreal Paradox. It's a beautiful place suspended over Vanadiel.



Ah, if only it were not the place for such huge world shattering events. We could hang out here all day and have fun! Now's not the time to be pondering that though, we've got work to do! Selh'teus has found and engaged Promathia!






Good job Selh'teus! He's got Promathia pinned!

Wait a sec... those are the Chebukki's! Trouble makers! They try to help Promathia by atatcking Selh'teus on the sly!




Selh'teus tells us how the mothercrystal was split when Altana tried to save Promathia. This also transformed the Realm of the Gods into Vanadiel. And thus, the Gods faced Apocalpyse.




Prishe, the spunky girl she always has been, challenges Promathia to a fight!

Selh'teus and her are no longer mortal and so they don't care if they don't win the fight. Prishe asks me to make a decision... but .... she never lets me say whether I want to fight or not!! Cheater! Anyway, it's time for the fight!

Our first fight with Promathia only brought us halfway through his second form. Prishe is a mean machine together with Selh'teus. I'd gather that the two of them were doing most of the damage but I'm not really sure as it was kind of a run all over event. The smart thing to do here is to keep Prishe healed, she'll heal ya too! Selh'teus can't be healed but he keeps himself alive well enough. Selh'teus also has some really neat abilities that gives HP. MP and TP to himself and anyone near him when he uses the ability.

We managed to beat Promathia on the second fight.

Promathia tries to defeat Prishe even at his last gasp, but Prishe manages to come round and throws the magicite she carries within her at Promathia. Selh'teus lances the magicite through Promathia with his Luminous Lance and the magicite starts illuminating the emptiness within Promathia.










Prishe, being the spunky girl that she is, tried to defeat Promathia with a dropkick. Unfortunately she didn't quite succeed and is looking like getting wiped on the floor by Promathia!





At this crucial moment... who should run in to save the day but .. yours truly! Please ignore the fact that I am supposedly dead. Now let me remind you that yours truly is the Vessel of Light who is supposed to save Vanadiel, therefore my ability to save Vanadiel transcend all states of existence. Thusly you may give your thanks to in terms of gil and or other valuable items. Ok, maybe that bit was a bit overboard there.

I should have gotten a shot on how cool I looked while running but I guess this will do






Is that a drop of water falling from the skies onto Promathia? Could it be a tear of Altana?


Promathia goes bye bye.....




Peace at last for troubled souls..... Nag'molada as well. Though he was hopelessly deluded, in his own way, he wanted what was best for the world. Well, in his own misinformed way.



Poor Altana, for she has once again lost Promathia.



Uhm... actually I don't really know what you mean, Prishe. However, I shall pretend that I do know what you mean so that I can look appropriately smart for being the saviour of Vanadiel!

Don't ask me details of that which was born last.

Oh lookie! Here comes the rah rah team!

Altana is crying, on everyone.....






Altana blesses us all with her tears... even the irritating Chebukki Trio! I guess this proves just how forgiving Altana is.




And so, what of Selh'teus who has come with us thus far?


He's going to be our very own Vanadiel Guardian Angel ! <3

Yes, Prishe, you have got that right. It's time we finally went home. All that saving the world is exciting but it's tiring as well. Even though no one will know that we did, as Lion says.



Uh.. but I think Prishe forgot these three....



And so, it comes to the end of a Chapter in Vanadiel. A strand of story in the cloth that is the universe. May we meet again in a cheerier weave.
